THE CHOSEN

 

THE CHOSEN is an allegorical tale about a young priest (Jon Bradford) presented with the unlikely burden of two immigrant children separated from their parents after deportation. The short film brings to light dilemmas presented to ordinary citizens, illustrating how undocumented immigration can affect people and society. Balancing ideas of compassion versus sustainability, a society tolerant to undocumented immigration is ultimately faced with decisions between right and wrong, church versus state, and survival versus kindness.
